An opportunity is available for a high caliber Code 14 Driver who will be based at our contract in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating ultra-heavy duty vehicles and ensuring efficient vehicle operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare vehicles for trips and operate ultra-heavy-duty vehicles.

Load, transport, and offload goods as required.
-
Handle necessary documentation related to transport.
-
Adhere to all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Safety Procedures.
-
Ensure a safe driving record and practice defensive driving.
-
Maintain vehicle housekeeping, and ensure uniform and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) are in good condition.

Perform vehicle inspections, and ensure the vehicle is fit for travel.
-
Comply with emergency procedures, report defects, and complete any related documentation.

Assist with all reasonable instructions from the Supervisor.

Prepare to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / National Certificate.

Code EC Driver’s License with a valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit).

3 years’ experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles.
-
3 years’ experience driving Superlink/Interlink/Combination vehicles.
-
Must be prepared to work weekends and public holidays.

Proficiency in defensive driving techniques.

Ability to report emergencies and handle defects promptly.

Experience with vehicle inspections and operating fire extinguishers.

Must be able to efficiently maximize vehicle cost-effectiveness.

Reliable transport to and from work.

Clean criminal record and must be medically fit.
Duties and Additional Requirements:

Complete medical evaluations, USCS training modules, and induction processes.

Undergo practical driving evaluations.
-
Verify clean criminal record before starting the role.

Ensure the safety and efficiency of vehicle operations.
