About the Role
The internship offers exposure to the integration of ESG principles within property investments, asset management, and reporting frameworks, while developing an understanding of sustainability within a REIT.
You’ll assist with data collection, reporting, and sustainability project coordination aligned with the ESG strategy, focusing especially on Green Building objectives in collaboration with the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA).
Key Responsibilities

Data Management: Collect, consolidate, and validate ESG-related information.

Research: Conduct desktop research on ESG trends, regulations, and peer benchmarking.

Reporting Support: Assist in compiling ESG disclosure reports.

Project Support: Coordinate sustainability initiatives (energy, water, waste reduction, and green certification).

Administration: Manage documentation, schedule meetings, and process payments.

Stakeholder Engagement: Support ESG awareness campaigns and communication.
Qualifications and Skills

Relevant building environment or environmental tertiary qualification (essential)

ESG experience or accreditation (desirable)

Strong administrative, data analysis, and research skills

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Knowledge of ESG frameworks (CSRD, ISSB, GRESB, GRI)
