🎼 Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate Class Music Teacher to join our creative team as maternity cover for September to December 2025. You will be responsible for music instruction from Grade 0 to Grade 7, leading the Senior Preparatory Choir, and contributing to Rallim’s vibrant performing arts programme.
🎯 Key Responsibilities

Teach Class Music lessons for Grades 0–7 (CAPS-aligned)

Lead and manage the Senior Preparatory Choir
-
Offer private music tuition (piano or vocal preferred)

Prepare learners for school performances and cultural events
-
Collaborate with class and arts educators to integrate learning
-
Conduct regular assessment and reporting per CAPS and school policy
✅ Minimum Requirements
-
Degree/diploma in Music Education
-
Experience teaching Grades 0–7 in a CAPS environment
-
Registered with SACE
-
Recent Police Clearance, Sexual Offender, and Child Protection Register clearances (all < 6 months old)
-
Strong piano or vocal training background (advantageous)
-
Experience in choir direction and concert/event planning
-
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
-
Creative, collaborative, and enthusiastic personality
