Job Description
Crawford International Ruimsig Preparatory is seeking an experienced and passionate Visual Arts and Drama Teacher to join their vibrant team. This role requires a dynamic educator to foster creative expression, critical thinking, and student development in both the visual and performing arts.

Core Responsibilities
Academic Delivery (40%)
-
Deliver engaging and differentiated Visual Arts and Drama lessons
-
Integrate technology and 21st-century learning practices
-
Prepare stimulating learning environments
-
Participate in staff collaboration, planning, and extra-murals
-
Stay current on global educational trends
Assessment & Reporting (20%)
-
Monitor and record student progress using data-driven strategies
-
Participate in assessments, moderation, and reporting
-
Maintain up-to-date records in systems such as STASY
Student Behaviour Management (10%)
-
Establish classroom agreements and positive behaviour systems
-
Provide pastoral support and referrals when necessary
School Brand Ambassadorship (10%)
-
Represent and promote the school at internal and external events
-
Contribute to marketing efforts, school culture, and extra-curriculars
Administration (10%)
-
Maintain timetables, plan excursions, and handle classroom logistics
-
Participate in substitution and maintain learning spaces
Health & Safety (10%)
-
Supervise students actively and ensure safe classroom/play environments
-
Be First-Aid trained and report incidents per policy
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 6) with PGCE or B.Ed
-
Valid SACE registration
-
Police Clearance
-
3–5 years of teaching experience (or 1-year internship at principal’s discretion)
-
Driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications

Honours in Education or subject-specific area

IB PYP Training

Proficiency in inquiry-based learning, digital literacy, and global competencies
