Programme Overview

The Vodacom Foundation Youth Development Programme 2026 offers a two-year paid placement for young South Africans to work as ICT Coordinators. This programme equips youth with key IT experience while supporting digital transformation in schools, NPOs, and ECD centres across the country.

Participants will gain real IT support experience similar to entry-level IT Technicians.

About Vodacom Foundation

Vodacom Foundation is the CSI arm of Vodacom South Africa and focuses on:

Closing the digital skills gap
Supporting vulnerable communities
Providing meaningful youth employment
Enhancing South Africa’s ICT capacity

Role: ICT Coordinator

Key responsibilities include:

Maintaining computer labs and ICT infrastructure
Troubleshooting basic IT issues
Monitoring network connectivity
Supporting teachers, learners, and staff
Ensuring smooth operation of digital learning platforms

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

Have Matric with 50%+ average
Hold an IT Technical Support qualification
Be 18–35 years old
Be a South African citizen
Live within the placement radius (strict requirement)
Be willing to undergo police clearance

FAQs

Do I need experience?
No. The programme is for youth with little/no IT work experience.

Will I be paid?
Yes. A monthly stipend is provided for the full two years.

Yes. Continuous support and on-the-job IT training are included.
