Position Overview

Pridwin Preparatory School, a renowned boys’ prep school in Johannesburg, is looking to introduce a Water Polo skills program and is seeking a Water Polo Coach to lead this initiative. The program will focus on skill development rather than competitive matches, and the coach will play a vital role in preparing the boys for high school-level water polo.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Training and Development:

    • Conduct 1–2 training sessions per week from 17:00 to 18:00, focusing on skill-building and water polo fundamentals.

  • Skill Development:

    • Guide students in developing water polo skills and techniques that will prepare them for future competitive play at high school level.

  • Program Leadership:

    • Lead the initiative during its exploratory phase and help shape the direction of the water polo program.


Requirements:

  • Background in Water Polo:

    • Strong playing and/or coaching experience in Water Polo.

  • Working with Primary School Boys:

    • Ability to engage and work with young students, particularly at the primary school level.

  • Professionalism:

    • Must be reliable, professional, and committed to the development of foundational water polo skills.

  • Availability:

    • Available to lead afternoon training sessions as scheduled.
