Job Overview

As a YES Distribution Centre Associate, you will be responsible for a range of activities to ensure smooth warehouse and distribution operations, with a focus on customer service, inventory management, and warehouse housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure customer orders are delivered in the desired condition, on time, and to the correct customer.

Assist customers with collections and assemble customer items.

Ensure all paperwork is correctly completed and customers sign the Proof of Delivery (POD).

Perform offloading, receiving, quality checks, stock put-away, and picking.

Maintain accurate stock counts through cycle counting and inventory checks.

Handle customer returns: wrap, label, and isolate returned items.

Keep MPOD (Master Proof of Delivery) in one area for easy access.

Assist with quality assessment and repairs for customer items.

Regular warehouse housekeeping to maintain a safe and organized environment.

Repair and assemble customer items as needed.

Account for and issue tools required for warehouse operations.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Matric (Grade 12) is preferred, but not mandatory.

Tertiary qualification would be an advantage.

Customer service experience is highly desirable.

Must be prepared to work under pressure and for extended hours.

Previous Warehouse or Distribution Centre experience is an advantage.

Requirements

Aged between 18 to 29 years.

Not currently employed permanently with a single employer for more than 1 year.

Available to work from September 2025 – August 2026.

Not studying full-time during the year of employment.

Not previously registered or participated in the YES programme.

Must reside in Tembisa, Bredel, or Kempton Park.
