Purpose of the Role
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Payroll team
- Assist in accurate and timely payroll processing
- Gain exposure to payroll systems, compliance, and reporting
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Completed N6 in Finance or HR
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong data capturing and administrative skills
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic payroll knowledge (advantageous)
- Numerical and analytical ability
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Assist with payroll data capturing and updates
- Support monthly payroll processing
- Help with employee onboarding and terminations
- Maintain payroll records and documentation
- Respond to payroll-related queries
Data & Reporting
- Capture and validate payroll data
- Assist with payroll reconciliations
- Support reporting and data accuracy
Compliance
- Ensure payroll aligns with company policies
- Assist with statutory compliance (PAYE, UIF, SDL)
- Support audit processes
- Maintain confidentiality
Operations Support
- Assist with overtime, leave, and deductions
- Support payroll system updates
- Help with month-end processes
General Admin
- Filing and documentation
- Ad hoc payroll projects
- Process improvement support
