🧑🏫 Role Overview
Curro is hiring an Intermediate Phase teacher (Grades 4–7) to teach:
- Creative Arts
- Afrikaans First Additional Language (FAL)
This is a part-time position, focused on delivering engaging, integrated lessons aligned with the CAPS curriculum.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons using modern teaching methods
- Track learner progress and adjust teaching strategies
- Customise lesson plans to support different learning needs
- Manage classroom environment and parent communication
- Organise assessments, revision, and moderation
- Plan homework and facilitate peer marking
- Participate in extramural activities and outings
🎓 Requirements
- BEd or PGCE (Intermediate Phase)
- Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience
- Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proven problem-solving and report-writing ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- SACE registered
- Clear criminal record
- Willingness to work extended hours
