🧑🏫 Role Overview
Curro is seeking a high school Mathematics teacher (FET Phase: Grades 10–12) to deliver subject-specific teaching aligned with the IEB curriculum. The role emphasises strong academic outcomes, learner support, and structured assessment practices.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons using modern teaching methods
- Track learner performance and academic progress
- Adapt term plans based on assessments and learner needs
- Conduct baseline assessments and recommend interventions
- Manage classroom environment and parent communication
- Oversee assessments, homework, moderation, and revision
- Provide extra lessons and one-on-one learner support
- Participate in extramural activities and school programmes
🎓 Requirements
- BEd or PGCE (FET Phase)
- Honours degree (advantageous)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching Mathematics at FET level
- Knowledge of the IEB curriculum
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
- Proven problem-solving and report-writing ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- SACE registered
- Clear criminal record
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends
