🧑🏫 Role Overview
Curro is hiring an Intermediate Phase teacher to teach a combination of:
- Creative Arts
- Social Sciences
- Life Orientation
The role focuses on delivering engaging, integrated lessons aligned with the CAPS curriculum, while supporting learners’ academic and personal development.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons using modern teaching strategies
- Monitor learner progress and adjust teaching plans accordingly
- Create customised lesson plans to support different learning paces
- Manage classroom environment, discipline, and parent communication
- Organise and oversee assessments, revision, and moderation
- Plan homework and facilitate peer marking
- Coordinate extramural activities and outings
🎓 Requirements
- BEd or PGCE (Intermediate Phase)
- Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience
- Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
- Problem-solving and report-writing ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- SACE registered
- Clear criminal record
- Willingness to work extended hours
