🧑🏫 Role Overview
Curro is hiring a Foundation Phase teacher (Grades R–3) for a full-time, permanent position. The role focuses on early childhood education and development through structured, engaging teaching aligned with the CAPS curriculum.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons using modern teaching methods
- Track learner progress and academic development
- Adapt term plans and provide tailored learner support
- Manage classroom environment, discipline, and parent communication
- Oversee assessments, moderation, and interventions
- Plan homework and monitor reading development
- Organise extramural activities and outings
🎓 Requirements
- BEd or PGCE (Foundation Phase)
- Honours degree (advantageous)
- Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience
- Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
- Report-writing and problem-solving ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- SACE registered
- Clear criminal record
- Willingness to work extended hours
